Water for Elephants

I hate circuses. I never go to them. They seem sad to me. So, even though I'd heard good things about this book, I had no desire to read it.
On the last day of school I went into the library to get a bunch of books for summer reading and saw this so figured I'd maybe give it a try since it was free.
Of course, I loved it! The contrast between the old Jacob and the young one really added to the character development. The writing is so nice and the plot moves along like...well, a circus train!
And the ending was just perfection!

Oh I wasn't sure what to think of this book before I read it either. I entered into it pretty skeptical but its now one of my favorites. The story just sticks with you...

I resisted this book for the longest time, because the premise held no appeal for me. My mom finally forced me to read it, and I loved it!

Yes, I really enjoyed this book too, especially the ending (and the twist to the flash-back story as well).
