The Sunday Salon

Good morning, readers, and Happy Mother's Day to all moms.
We are at camp in Maine and the sun is shining. In five more weeks we'll be here for the whole summer instead of just weekends and I can't wait.

I'm about a third of the way through these delightful poems. There hasn't been one yet that I haven't understood on the first reading. But there were a few that I wanted to reread. Most just hint at the eroticism but a few are quite explicit. W. H. Auden's "The Platonic Blow" is one that comes to mind. There are several by Emily Dickinson that surprised me. I never thought of her as erotic, that's for sure. And Robert Frost! They are all by famous poets. Interesting to see this side of them.

I finished this and was not disappointed. Myron Bolitar and Win and Esperanza and even Myron's parents are like old friends I enjoy visiting occasionally.

There is laughter, important issues to ponder, and a plot that just won't quit in this novel.

WOW - how fun!! I have a couple of internet buddies living in ME. It's one of the states I'd like to visit.

Hi Linda!

I followed a comment you made on Cheryl's Book Nook to your blog. I love it! I wanted to invite you to stop by my site (link below) and see if there are any titles that might interest you for review on your blog. Specifically, ADMIT ONE comes to mind for material I think you may enjoy.

Let me know what you think and I hope to work with you soon!

All Best,
Lisa
